Every now and again, we get a reminder of just how lucky we are to live in the English Riviera. Not only is Torbay one of the warmest places to live in the UK, but we’re surrounded by some fantastic sights.

No matter where you’ve been in the world, you can’t help but be impressed at the amazing views in the area. We have so many beaches to choose from in Torbay when most places in the UK don’t even have one.

Last night at Below Decks, we were blessed with an incredible sunset over the bay. For those who didn’t see this amazing sight, here’s what we saw last night.

Torquay Sunset

Luckily, we weren’t the only people who managed to get amazing shots of the Torquay sky.

Twitter user Simon Honey managed to take this beauty. See the sun reflecting on the sea.

Peter Caton Books, another Twitter account, got this one overlooking Torre Abbey Sands.

This incredible Torquay sunset wasn’t reserved for the sea front. This snap from Foxxy Finnegan shows the sky while looking towards Dartmoor.

Although we’re not blessed with this kind of Torquay sunset every night (we are still in England after all), they are fairly regular. Luckily, some have been posted on Facebook so they can be seen with just a little search. The image below was taken by Facebook user Marc Harvey in September 2013.

Heather Barratt took this one at Hope’s Nose in August 2015.

To prove that we aren’t just limited to these Torquay sunsets in the Summer months, Darren Munslow managed to take this photo from the Imperial Hotel in October 2013.

Those who decided to come down to Below Decks last night had front row seats for the amazing sunset and views on offer. We are in such a prime location with views across the whole of Torbay. Give us a call on 01803 411106 to reserve a table.

If you have any photos of Torquay’s sunset that you’d like us to add to this post, please send to news@belowdecks.co.uk.
