torquay harbourside restaurant reviews
Below decks is a lovely located restaurant on Torquay Harbour. The food is always lovely and the service is of a very high standard the staff are very welcoming and friendly. I would definitely recommend this establishment.
The number of times I have walked past this seafood restaurant without giving it a second glance. Not this time. Decided to call in and take a leisurely lunch. A hidden gem, friendly welcoming staff and great food. Something for all tastes here from light bites to full meals. Will definitely be calling back next year on our holidays.
Had lunch here today and was not disappointed, friendly staff attentive and welcoming, with the added bonus of sitting outside on this balmy September day. Will certainly visit again and can thoroughly recommend Below Decks to anyone visiting Torbay harbour.
fantastic service!! Staff couldn’t do enough to help we will continue to visit below decks on those sunny evenings by the Torquay Harbour thanks to Naomi the waitress for making our experience so pleasant
Took a random night out with my wife to below decks tonight and had a fabulous time. If you’re not going here for a chilled night out your missing a trick. Great seafood great staff and the best atmosphere. Recommend it 100%
We have become frequent visitors to BD this year. Each time our visit has been great- whether inside if damp or out in the sunshine overlooking the harbour.
Highlights include the mussels (some of the best I have ever had – I like the classic Mariniere but my husband loves the Thai style) – seafood generally, fish and chips, San Miguel or Prosecco in the sun – and tonight we appeared as Paella night was starting which looked amazing (we’d already eaten).
Below Decks for breakfast is our first port of call when we go to Torquay on holiday. It’s a lovely place in a gorgeous setting, friendly staff, amazing food and Annings cider. Couldn’t ask for more as they welcomed our pup too.
Had breakfast today down at this Torquay harbour restaurant. great service and food from two great guys Dave and James. Did not know you where there will be back again. Thanks for a great morning. Maybe I will try lunch next time the menu looks great.
We had lunch on August Bank Holiday Monday at Below Decks, as a party of six. We ate on the ‘deck’, a fantastic location right on the marina with great views. The vegetarian selection was good – ‘bar’ food, but the sweet potato veggie burger was very nice. Service was prompt and friendly. Highly recommended if you can sit outside.
